You can now configure telematics alerts for supported OBD II trackers to monitor driving behavior, utilization, and vehicle health indicators. Availability may vary by vehicle and device compatibility.

How to enable telematics alerts

  1. Log in to Hapn
  2. Open the tracker / asset you want to monitor
  3. Go to Alerts and enable the telematics alerts you need
  4. Set thresholds where applicable (for example, idling duration or harsh driving sensitivity)

Best-practice starting points

If you’re enabling alerts for the first time, start with a small set of high-impact alerts, confirm recipients, then tune thresholds after you see real-world signal and notification volume.

  • Safety / behavior: Harsh Acceleration, Harsh Braking, Harsh Turning
  • Utilization: Idling, Engine Work Time
  • Vehicle health: Check Engine Light, Engine Temperature, DTC Fault Code
  • Fuel / fluids: Fuel Level (%), Oil Level
