Tasks
This is a large update to the Hapn applications, centered around a new module all about task management. Appropriately, we are calling it Tasks. This feature arose from the need of our customers to digitize the tasks they take care of on a monthly, weekly, or even daily basis.
On the surface, maintenance tasks are the main fit. This might be regular oil changes on fleet vehicles all the way up to track maintenance on your heavy D20 bulldozers. Whatever the need, you can set these maintenance tasks up to trigger based on mileage, hours of use, or a standard amount of elapsed time. Putting these tasks into your Hapn application gives you visibility into exactly what is happening with these assets.
The practical uses are a plenty. You might ask yourself : “When was the oil last changed?” With Tasks, you can simply take a look at the completed task list to see exactly when the job was last done.
Getting all pieces of equipment of the same type on a single schedule makes the task much easier to manage, both in the office and in the repair bay. Seeing and knowing exactly when something is due will make these operations even more efficient.
More than maintenance tasks
Aside from the maintenance applications, there are other uses for the task module. The ability to set up tasks with time as a trigger gives more options when leveraging the feature. Tasks can be built for recurring non-maintenance items, like registration renewals, with ease. This, in addition to maintenance tasks, combined with the location and usage data in the.Hapn apps gives a you a more complete picture of an asset.
The task module is all about making operations easier, and increasing visibility by getting all your tasks into the same location.

Taking customer feedback and need to create a wholly new feature is something we pride ourselves on here at Hapn. Tasks is a great example of that. It simply does not exist without the customer interviews that helped us develop it. We cannot wait to see what work you get done with it.
